Bare Root Seedlings

Bare root seedlings are usually 12-18" plants lifted from the soil in the fall and winter.  The soil is mostly removed from the roots which are then dipped in a moisture retention polymer.  The plants are then sorted by customer order and stored in bags in a refrigerated building.
